Meet Our Chasers

Since 1998, the Oldham County Police has been proud to be part of the ongoing community-level partnershipwith Challengers to reduce youth access to alcohol, tobacco, and other illicit substances.

Within this partnership, we continue to address these issues through programs such as the DUI Golf Cart Program, Mock Collision Scenarios, Ghost Out, "Town Hall" meetings, and National and Statewide Safe and Sober campaigns.

In concert with all of Oldham County law enforcement, the OCPD will also continue to enforce the Social Host Ordinance, which prohibits property owners from allowing persons under twenty - one (21) years of age to possess or consume alcoholic beverages on their property.

It is my belief that through these partnerships and combining our educational and enforcement efforts the long term benefits will enhance the quality of life for all our citizens in addition to saving lives, both of which are primary goals.  It is my belief that Challengers of Oldham County will continue to play a vital role in achieving those lofty and worthwhile goals.

As Sheriff of Oldham County, I want our residents and visitors to feel safe not only in their own neighborhoods, but throughout the county.  The only way to achieve this is to continually foster community partnerships, including civic groups, schools, teachers, and parents. Working together, we can all reach out to protect our most valuable asset, our youth, by equipping them with the knowledge needed to become productive members of society

"KSP fully supports the Challengers 'You Provide the Alcohol - We provide the Chaser' project.  As the Governor's designated administrator of federal funds for the 'Enforcing Underage Drinking Laws' program in Kentucky, we appreciate and understand the importance of community collaboration with law enforcement in combating underage drinking. Building constructive partnerships requires energy, creativity and understanding by all involved to achieve project goals. We are honored to stand with such distinguished law enforcement agencies to protect our greatest asset - the youth of Oldham county."
